Yakushi 2025: A Weekend of Cars, Community, and Connection
Clare GaffoorExperience the Magic of Camping at Yakushi: A Weekend of Cars, Community, and Connection
Imagine this: the sun dips below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the lake... the day’s excitement slowly winds down, and in its place comes the comforting warmth of a campfire, the smell of food sizzling on a barbecue, and the gentle murmur of friends - old and new - chatting late into the night. This is the heart of Yakushi, and it’s an experience unlike any other.
Camping at Yakushi isn’t just about having a place to stay for the weekend; it’s about fully immersing yourself in the event’s atmosphere. By day, you’ll be admiring pristine builds, rare imports, and JDM classics, but when the sun sets, the festival takes on a whole new life. Whether you’re sharing stories over a drink, admiring the starlit sky, or taking part in the famous Saturday night fancy dress, camping brings a sense of togetherness that makes Yakushi truly special.
The Social Side of Yakushi: A Place to Feel at Home
For many of us, socialising can be daunting - especially in large gatherings. But Yakushi isn’t like your average car show. Here, the atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, making it the perfect place to push past those social anxieties in a way that feels natural and comfortable. You don’t need to be a seasoned social butterfly; just being present, surrounded by people who share your passion for Japanese cars, creates an easy environment to connect.
Our PITSTOP.Social club stand is designed exactly for this reason - to be a friendly, no-pressure space where members can relax, chat, and enjoy the weekend at their own pace. Whether you prefer to engage in deep conversations about cars, sit back and take in the surroundings, or simply enjoy the vibe from the comfort of your tent, there’s no right or wrong way to experience Yakushi.

A Refresh for the Mind: Why Yakushi is Good for Your Mental Health
Life gets hectic, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the day-to-day grind. Yakushi offers a unique escape - not just for your love of cars, but for your well-being too. Spending a weekend outdoors, away from the stresses of everyday life, can be incredibly refreshing. There’s something therapeutic about waking up to the sound of birds, sipping a coffee in the morning mist, and knowing that the only thing on your to-do list is to enjoy the moment.
Being part of a community, even for a weekend, can work wonders for mental health. Conversations flow easily when you have a shared passion, and the laid-back setting makes socialising feel natural rather than forced. If you’re someone who struggles with meeting new people, this is the perfect environment to break down those barriers without pressure.
More Than Just a Car Show: What to Expect at Night
Once the day’s events wrap up, the fun doesn’t stop. One of the best things about Yakushi is its evening entertainment. Fancy dress on Saturday night is a highlight, with attendees going all-out in creative and hilarious costumes. It’s a chance to let loose, have a laugh, and embrace the more playful side of the event. The atmosphere is electric - whether you’re taking part or just watching the madness unfold.
There’s also no better place to admire cars in a different light - literally. As night falls, you’ll see an incredible display of JDM rides under glowing fairy lights and LED underglow, making for an unforgettable sight. And of course, there’s always something happening around the campsite - impromptu music, late-night chats, and plenty of good vibes to go around. There is even a compassionate, silent display of hazards on Saturday evening, remembering those no longer with us.
